Ready Entry is the Basic Qualification variant for candidates who already hold a licence and are moving into an airline seat, rather than starting training from zero. It is a separate product from the Ab-Initio version, with its own product code and its own fee.

Ready Entry versus Ab-Initio
These are two distinct products in the Interpersonal catalogue, not two names for the same test. They carry different product codes and different fees — €429 for Ready Entry against €359 for Ab-Initio. Booking the wrong one is a costly and entirely avoidable mistake, so confirm with the airline or flight school which variant your application requires before you pay.
The cognitive ground covered is broadly the same family of abilities. What differs is the expectation you arrive with: a Ready Entry candidate is assumed to have operational flying experience behind them, and the screening sits inside a hiring process rather than a training-selection process.
The trap for experienced pilots
Holding a licence and flying the line does not automatically translate into a strong aptitude-test score, and this catches experienced candidates out more often than it catches beginners. The tasks are deliberately abstract — rotating shapes, tracking multiple inputs, arithmetic without a calculator. They measure raw processing under time pressure, not airmanship.
If your last exposure to mental arithmetic or spatial rotation under a stopwatch was years ago, the honest expectation is that your first timed run will score below where your flying experience would suggest. That gap closes with practice, but it closes over weeks, not over a weekend.
